**This is more a personal journal for me to document my experiences in China, but I also want to keep people up-to-date and give insight on a different culture. I want to apologize in advance if I offend anyone or piss anyone off in any way. This blog will be, for the most part, uncensored and raw. If your scared about what you might read and/or find out about me, my life, and my views hit the x button at the top right corner now....otherwise enjoy :)
**PLEASE leave comments.. I dont know your reading unless you comment.. If you want to know something, have a question, or just want to respond please do/ask.. no such thing as BAD feedback..

Happy Chinese New Year!!

**I think this will be my last post until I get back from my vacation to Sanya, Hainan.

My trip is from Jan26-31, 6 days and 5 nights in 'Oriental Hawaii', as they call it. The southern most city in China. A boat ride to Vietnam or Indonesia.

Check out these sites if you want to learn about it: http://www.sunnysanya.com/hainan_island/index.asp or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanya

Side note. The Chinese New Year is one of the biggest celebrations in China and everyone has at least a week off for it. This is when they lite off fireworks all day. I bought some the other day and they rock compared to fireworks back home. Ill tell you one thing, they dont care about safety with these fireworks and the fire crackers are loud as shit. I love it. China invented fireworks and I see they have perfected the 'bang for your buck' as well. I spent about 50cents and got around 100 fire crackers that are more like the 'cherry bombs' or m80's from back home. Craziness!! So on Jan 25th, Sunday we will go eat with Michelles bf Guo's family and this is the night when everyone lites fireworks off till morning. I hear you wont be able to sleep bc it will sound like China is being attacked. I will be loaded up with fireworks for this, believe me. The next day Monday I take a plane to Sanya, where currently it is 75 degrees and sunny. The forecast looks good for the week as well. Hopefully I can get on a reef and find an underwater camera, or get into the rain forest and spot some freakin monkeys. Can you tell Im a little excited?? I plan to take some amazing pictures and want to catch a couple sunrises and sunsets as well.

So Ill talk to you on the flip side, not sure where Im staying in Sanya yet or if Ill have an Internet connection. I might just buy a tent and camp out in the jungle for a few nights. Wish me luck.
